15 August 2011, Moscow – The Frigate Ecojet team, initiated by the JSC FPG Rosaviaconsortium, announces the successful completion of the online survey which has been conducted on behalf of Frigate Ecojet by the Consulting Division of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The survey identifies generic aircraft requirements, and tests the acceptability of the specific Frigate Ecojet value proposition over the next decade.
The responses came from middle and top management representatives of 79 different airlines of various natures, sizes and regions. 82.3% of the participants were from middle and higher management positions and in disciplines generally related to fleet planning.
68.6% of all participants say that there is the need for a new aircraft type in the market. Based on opinions collected from the survey participants, a high-level, non-binding demand estimate for the Frigate Ecojet aircraft can be of up to 650 aircraft until 2030.
Commenting on the results of the survey, Alexander Klimov, the Frigate Ecojet program leader, said: «We’re completely satisfied with the results of the survey conducted by IATA. They prove our own initial market studies and show the potential demand for our aircraft from various global aircraft operators. We will proceed with market surveys to fine-tune our program to the real needs of customers across all regional markets».
